The logistical side of a business plays a crucial role in maintaining an efficient operation on a daily basis. Heading this department is Patrick Sipley. At the beginning of 2022 he moved into the Logistics Manager position and so we decided to catch up with him to see how he is getting along.

What do you like about working at Autex Acoustics?

That would have to be meeting new people from different walks of life. In my role I get to deal with a range of people from across our business as well as external

What has been the biggest learning curve for you at Autex Acoustics?

There have been two big learning curves for me.

  1. Take my time and don’t rush things because not everything needs to be done right away.
  2. In my old role I was a hands on guy but now I have to take a step back and trust my team.

What is your favourite part of working with your team?

I am always learning new things. Not just about the work we are doing but about what makes my team who they are. Every day is not the same with these guys.

What is your favourite memory of working at Autex Acoustics?

I’ve made a lot of great memories over my time here. If I had to pick one it would probably be back in the day when we worked at Copsey Place. I was in the special services team working in stores. That team was full of great people which made for positive vibes and lots of laughs.

What do you do outside of work to keep yourself busy?

I have my daughter who keeps me very busy. As for hobbies, I play Rugby League for the Point Chev Pirates. We’ve just come off a really good season and are looking forward to continuing that.

What motivates you to come into work everyday?

This is an easy one for me. It would have to be family. My daughter and partner are my main motivation and keep me going.
